Metal Magic

I started the evening off trying out my Kanban foiling kit which I bought last year and haven't touched - the jury's out on this one - some of the peel off stickers worked really well but others just tore to shreds when trying to use them. Having successfully managed to create some components I then couldn't come up with a design to use them!!
I raided my snippet box again for gold mirri card and a gorgeous piece of tapestry card and put the base of this card together then having found the ribbon decided I wanted a Christmas card so decided to play with the metal magic again - I triple embossed gold, silver then gold again onto some waste vellum then die cut a snowflake. At this point I didn't know what to expect - never occurred to me the metal would peel off the vellum but it did so although the two larger dies broke I managed a snowflakey/star with the rest. The card was finished with a peel off sentiment and I stitched a small gold bell to the bow.

Challenges entered:
Less is More - metallic
Crafts and Me - add a charm
Creative Craft - just charming
Crafty Ribbons - festive cheer in September

  1. It sounds as though this one was a bit of a trial Carol, well done for getting it completed when so many things didn't go to plan.
That is such a pretty bow, I'd never thought of sewing a charm to a ribbon... if the ribbon was too thick to use for a charm, I'm afraid it didn't get used, I shall have to think about this one!
    Thanks once more.
